Franz Ferdinand just started and this Jacqueline song sounds like acapella The Coral until the band kicks in.
Meanwhile I started looking at record prices for it...I love how it goes from sounding like The Clash on acid, to Syd era Pink floyd, then back again.I"M SO HAPPY IT ENDED WITH A FUCKING NUSERY RHYME SONG.... mostly just happy it's over....
Really questioning @Joe Mac's hate of floyd after that one. LOTS of SYD in there. Both cognizant and otherwise.Meanwhile I started looking at record prices for it...I love how it goes from sounding like The Clash on acid, to Syd era Pink floyd, then make again.
it's possible that if you just jumped around randomly that you made the damn thing make sense.Meanwhile I started looking at record prices for it...I love how it goes from sounding like The Clash on acid, to Syd era Pink floyd, then back again.

I've definitely heard Franz Ferdinand before. Sounds like mall music.
I don't know what your problem with Gilmore is and don't really want to, you guys have killed enough heroes. anyhow... I think Floyd's music is a progression and I think it makes perfect sense to go that route. plus I have a sneaking suspicion that Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother are perfect for you.So confesssoon time. Never really spent much time with Barrett era Floyd. It was a mixture of Dark Side Of The Moon, The Wall and those two albums particular type of fanboys that put me off. Plus it kinda also became my weird music fan quirk/thing.
A part of me that I don’t like to admit in public does think I should give the band another go but starting from the start. The other part of me is aware of David Gilmore and thinks he’s a shit, why bother.
It sounds like the kids bop version of Artic Monkeys. They can get a bit samey. Take Me Out was the big hit and I’m sure you’ve heard that before. Darts of Pleasure and Michael were always my two favs off it.
by that I mean, it's been sanitized for mass consumption.
Yeah idk how the fuck I'm supposed to fall asleep now after shoving that album into my brain.music equivalent of giving a thousand monkeys a typewriter.
I can understand. I also wouldn't want the dreams it is sure to provoke.Yeah idk how the fuck I'm supposed to fall asleep now after shoving that album into my brain.
Well, there you go AM gave edge to Franz Ferdinand. lol.... indie sleaze... lolThey came first. The Arctic Monkeys came last out of all these bands. But their whole mantra, and they were pretty open about it at the time, was to make music for people at indie gigs/discos to dance to.

OMG this is an amazing comparisonIt sounds like the kids bop version of Artic Monkeys.
