The Roost - All things Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo Switch

Ok. I’m back.
Need this crew to tell me what’s up

is this game worth getting if I’m late to the party ?
What I mean by that is , am I too far behind ? Will ppl not want to interact with me since I will have 10 mins invested in the game to their 70 hours ?

will ppl jump off this game hard as people start to go back to work ?
The fun thing is you can play at your own pace. You may even benefit from being a bit "behind" since we can all mail ya stuff you're missing. It takes 2 weeks or so I'd say of playing a little every day to unlock most of the big things in the game. Whether or not people will still be playing as much once they go back to work, well that's a good question hah. No idea. I don't think I'll be playing AS much but will still play a bit I think.

My wife has been working through this shelter-in-place for the most part and she's actually played 30 more hours than I have.

On the other hand, her sister just got the game last week and we've been able to help her out a bit. Giving her recipes she might need, some of each fruit, and of course that's all optional. If you don't want help from others you can always find all of that stuff on your own.

This game will be worth getting at any point in at least the next several years.

I was hoping that but I was late to the party with new leaf and got a month or so out of it. Just couldn’t get it to click. So I didn’t know if that was due to the fact that everyone had jumped off.

This one seems more online capable.

It’s a super chill game that you enjoy at your own pace. And yes, jump in, we’ll all help build your empire!

It can provide anxiety in that there are some things I’d like to happen sooner than later lol

Time travel only gets you so far haha

Ok. I’ll bite.

do the villagers give you a recipe if they are crafting something?
Yep! And if you already know the recipe, they give you an extra recipe card. Other people can also visit your island and get the recipe so it's not limited to one person.

Yeah! You just talk them twice when they’re crafting inside their home. They craft for an hour after conversation initiation and then leave their house, then a new villager starts crafting.
