just finished listening to it. it's a VERY quick listen.. felt like under 30 mins. also I was listening while working, so not giving it my full, 100%..

it's ok. it's not that any of it is bad, it just is a pretty one note album and I'm not exactly sure that any of their strengths benefit this aggressive, punk style. again, this was a not a fully attentive listen, but I didn't hear any of the usual great interplay between the drummers, John's singing is basically distorted screaming throughout, and it seemed to me they more straight up emulate the hardcore punk sound they were going rather than giving hardcore punk an OSEES twist, if that makes any sense. additionally there are definitely moments where a vocal melody in one song basically sounds exactly the same as another song, and there aren't a lot of songs...I swear the first song on Side A has the exact same verse melody as the first song on Side B. obviously this sort comes with the territory with this style of music, but it keeps the album feeling very one-note and it may be a missed opportunity to have made it more uniquely OSEES.

that said, it's good if you like this style... but of you don't then unfortunately it's the only thing you're getting with this album. I did find side B more interesting than the first side, but it was all enjoyable for me, but it's not their finest album nor does it ever feel like they wanted it to. I think they just wanted to make something loud and fast and with that they definitely succeeded.
