Well U.K. is my local site and they have depots in Ireland too so it’s hard to say. Although take a look at some of the doves deliveries in the fresh grabs thread and you’ll have a fair idea...

Oh I meant I’m wary from experience. I’ve had stuff arrive golden but I’ve had stuff arrive bent and jacked and some of (ok most of it) had to do with that it was shipped in a bag.

I pretty much.use Amazon UK if it’s way cheaper, or EU pressing is by word of mouth superior if there’s a diff between regions.

In a bag... fuck!

Their game these days is to put lps in a mailer and then the mailers in a hilariously oversized box...

I don’t know how they will handle a box set though, my Radiohead one last week came inside another box but it was big enough in its own right that it pretty much filled the bigger outer box and they used brown paper to fill the gap.

So it was in a thin record mailer and then inside a bag. Just not good for the distance. I’ve gotten the outer box too.

Which Radiohead box?

Did the Amazon UK deal for KB remastered in vinyl I, II, III

II came dinged up cause they removed it from inner box to fit all three in one shipping box. Got them to send me new II w/ no need to return other.

Not putting in PIF for someone to hawk. Wanna offer to KB fans. Plus don’t care about collecting a record myself (think I’m like +5 there anyway).

Also Red Shoes has a mark on side 2 (1st image) that causes light clicking but no skipping. Only play tested that one area I could see. Pics of everything attached but really I’m offering it for free so still a fantastic deal, right?

Edit: also the damage is hardly bad but since it’s amazon and they packed like numpties I got em to replace.

I have the gray/pink OG swirl, 2 of the 85 US EMI, 85 Japan issue (actually this one arrives tomorrow), and the RE (I actually have 2 of this - one in the box and one loose that I bought as my first toe in the water to see if I liked the REs but I’m gonna PIF that at some point).

I need help. In general, I think a strong argument can be made for Kate Bush as one of the most brilliant, uncompromising, idiosyncratic, and visionary artists of modern times. And Hounds of Love, IMO, is her desert island album. With the run from The Dreaming to The Red Shoes to be near-perfect. Aerials is great and 50 Words...is her contemporary masterpiece but that run bookends a neat period in time.
 
Yeah well they weren't all brilliant, replacing the single mix on The Big Sky on Hounds was a bit ordinary and sucks the life out of that side for me .

Yeah, kinda feel the same way. I mean, I certainly still listen to the version with the original mix more. I think what particularly annoys me is that the original mix wasn't in the b-sides. The most glaring ommission, and that's considering it's missin On Stage and "The Empty Bullring..."


EDIT: There are too many "kindas" in this post but I'm kinda havin' a day so I'm going to leave it.
 
This is an okay listen if you want to hear people talk Kate, including someone who'd not heard her work before. Disagree with some of their assessments - they didn't like The Dreaming much - but they did have a few insights that were new to me. Don't be scared off by the title or it being published by National Review, there's nothing political except the introduction of the guest. And if it being published by the National Review is enough to put you off - I completely understand but Iive with someone who reads seemingly everything on the site so why not take this excuse to bond I guess.
