Vinyl Me Please Anthology

OMG, I thought the Anthology went on sale on Thursday.......I’ve only got AUD$7 in my account and can’t even afford Afterpay at the moment 😂

Does anyone know if they are only releasing a particular amount for the presale, and then the rest during the general sale (which starts this Thursday at 5PM EST).
In the past, it has just been on sale until it sells out. No set number for presale.

Yep. The gimmick of raising the price after pre-sale seems to have back-fired on the past 2 releases because if people don't want to pay the pre-sale price, they sure as hell wouldn't pay the "regular" price hah.

But did they even raise the ghostly one to the “proper” price? Given how long it hung around and how they kept increasing the temperature of the sales pitch I got the distinct suspicion that they pulled the remaining to save face.

I thought they raised it but it still did not sell out, and agree with ya on I think they pulled the remaining copies. We'll likely see them for sale elsewhere like they do with all the stock they have that doesn't sell out.

Like fuck I did
Same. I skipped the last two, but I have faith in them on this one, and though the women of Motown was wayyyy too expensive, people seemed to think the set itself was high quality.

It feels like the Ghostly Anthology was a throw in that they barely cared about. Like the label approached them with some splatter variants and they said 'fuck it' and threw it in a boxset.

Hard skip here for the reasons that were beat to death over the weekend. Curious to see what albums will be in the box, because I love Stax but can't justify $30+ per LP at Christmas time with two kids and a wife who wants me to sell some of my records.

Easy solution here, just open up your own LLC, buy all the inventory you want and price it 10x over MSRP. Then write it all off as a business expense.
