I picked up KPG cuts of every Crue album through Dr. Feelgood a year or two back and they are a fun listen. The non-KPG, current pressings sound like nails on a chalkboard. I know this because the packaging/hype stickers/wax colors are nearly identical and a lot of places seem to not know which pressing they have in stock.

Yeah that’s super annoying. I gave up looking for the 180 gram RTI pressing of GBV’s Under The Bushes Under The Stars because everyone kept listing the most recent repress as the 2008 RTI pressing for some reason. I had to return a couple copies and finally got to the point that I wouldn’t pay the seller until they confirmed it was the correct version and I had like 5 separate orders cancelled because they were not. One of the more infuriating parts of the hobby for sure.

Like this is a fantastic box set.. respected label, all either very respected bands or critically acclaimed albums (I dunno about amored Saint though so I dunno how beloved that is), collaboration with popular metal magazine,

Metal isn't really my thing (except for bands like Motley Crue lol), but I will say that set is a pretty damned nice selection. I do have a soft spot for Gwar with them being my college-town local band. Charlottesville can claim Dave Matthews, but they ain't got nothing on RVA and Gwar.

Is there pressings numbers anywhere? I don't see any. Honestly pressing to meet demand (Third Man Vault style) with a cutoff date would probably be a better method for these, but I have to imagine this is in production already with a targeted May ship date

At the members price it breaks down to about $31.25 an album which is fair. That Cannibal Corpse LP goes for a lot of $$$. This set is not for me but it’s a good value for sure.
