exactly. I have a weird level of disappointment associated with this announcement.Soft Bulletin is amazing. But I already have a copy of it and this is just a color variant it seems. If you don't own it already, it's 100% worth getting but I was really hoping they would improve previous pressings somehow...
It does suck because there is already a great version of this put out by Rhino. I'm hoping they do exclusives for this, most notably Young Gifted and BlackOf course they do the only Aretha album I have an original Mono of! Might be hard to resist since it will likely be quieter though.
Hmm someone on reddit is saying that it's actually pressed from new laquers by RKS at Sterling...trying to see where they saw that though.exactly. I have a weird level of disappointment associated with this announcement.
Check out this FOMO Copy they've spewed on their website: "It bears repeating: The only way to ensure that you’ll get these three albums is to sign up for our three-month Essentials subscription now"!
Seriously guys, tone it down

I can see this getting a wide release next summer on black vinyl too if this is the case.queens of the stone age is getting a really damn good almost if not definitely audiophile level pressing (bernie grundman, presssed at pallas)
That's absolutely what it sounds like. The "we no longer have the one-month subscription option so you should sign up now" instead of "we're reintroducing the one-month subscription [because it was stupid of us to get rid of it in the first place]" doesn't help.Call me cynical, but this reads like they're trying to lock in and goose up their 2019 earnings.
I don't understand why they wouldn't put this on, ya know...the MAIN PAGE ABOUT THE PRESSING hah.Its in the “everything you need to know” article on the home page
A random redditor just stated The Soft Bulletin was: "Pressed from new lacquers cut by RKS @ Sterling" No sourcing yet though.
