I'm guilty of not frequenting those threads. Honestly 90% of the time I get here by clicking email links. I don't browse around as much as I'd like.

I'm with you, probably going to swap out of QOTSA as that album does nothing for me.

I'm excited for both but that Brubeck will get more spins. That's true of pretty much all the Essentials. I'll spin them a couple times but I'm going back to Classics and RHH a lot more.

This QOTSA record is honestly the best thing VMP will put out in terms of my taste.

I will maybe comeback if they start doing Doves exclusives or records that have been chosen as N&G AOTM Im just kidding.

Agreed, and I am glad it's one of his harder to find albums. I was really excited for the recent release of Time In. Now they just need to do a good AP pressing of Time Further Out. I have now bought that album three times in various crates and used bins, yet to find one without a few unfortunate and intrusive scratches throughout.

Perhaps it's because I don't have as much time to surf around this forum as the old one but I definitely feel less FOMO personally. I made a decision to stick to tracks only unless I really want the exclusive (mainly due to pricing and constant delays). But honestly I don't get to read through every post anymore so I could be off in my observation.

True, I think there's less too, to be fair, as you don't have staff members constantly counting down how low the stock is in a very transparent attempt to up-sell.

Head above the Parapet. I’m sure Brubeck will be great and one of the more worthy classics but am I the only person who is wondering why there has been so little so soul and no real blues at all this year? It’s less the classics and more the jazz...

I have the Impex reissue of Time Further Out and while I wouldn't call it AP quality it is pretty good. Cut at Sterling, pressed at RTI.
