Grohl on drums makes this the QOTSA album Essential to my collection. Otherwise, not sure any of these make the Vinyl collection (as opposed to the CD/Digital collection).

Grohl on drums makes this the QOTSA album Essential to my collection. Otherwise, not sure any of these make the Vinyl collection (as opposed to the CD/Digital collection).
I reached out to customer service due to my Soft Bulletin jacket being damaged and they’re going to send me a replacement jacket. Normally, they would send a brand new record altogether, but this is the first time they’re just sending me a jacket. I’m not mad at it at all, just thought it was different than what I’ve normally experienced.

I asked for a replacement jacket, and they gave me credits. A pretty generous amount of credits, to be fair, but I would've preferred a replacement jacket. Ah well.

You know, I have a slight hunch that it might possibly be Songs For The Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age. Again, don't quote me on it. It's just a guess.

OK, aside from feeling embarrassed now,
I always thought they announce it on like the 24th or 25th and before that time. they keep it very tight to the vest.

Yeah, but then they decided to stoke the FOMO fires for more subscriptions (i.e. money), so they announced the next 3 all at once

I’m honestly not sure I need this QOTSA either. I think they’re a really solid band and I like the record, but I just do t see myself ever listening to it. I’ve thrown SftD on maybe a handful of times over the last decade plus. Just not something I return to much.
I definitely want Aretha though....so I don’t want to cancel and not get back in but I would assume that that is HIGHLY unlikely to happen with an Essentials in month one. RHH and Classics are also misses for me with month. I’ll probably use the extra cash to buy Hounds of Love, Hats, and 2 Stereolab reissues. 4 records I’ll definitely listen to. Have my eye out for that Bon Iver variant though.

They never give pressing numbers but there are between 20,000 and 30,000 subscribers.

Man, I really feel they missed out on doing exclusives for the other QOTSA releases. Era Vulgaris and Rated R at least would of been amazing to get on colored vinyl. I have a hunch that down the line Newbury will get some of these as exclusives.
I'm just excited for STFD though. This is one of those records to me, that deserves the title of Essential. It is one of the best records of that decade and has got some of Joshs best songs. I will be signing up for this and add MF Doom as an add on and maybe something else. Does anyone know if Fly Lo is still in swaps. I was supposed to get that as a PIF a while back but got no response since so was thinking of just picking it up.
