I can’t imagine it would be Dark Days/Light Years so I think Phoenix is very likely.

Yes, got it yesterday and have spun it 4 times in a day which is a lot for me. Sonically it's a step above anything I've gotten as a ROTM. Really lively yet intimate I guess.

Oh dang I missed that in the firestorm haha! Never heard an entire SFA album so I’d be down with that over Phoenix.

I'm just not 100% sure Dark Days/Light Years is regarded as "Essential".

Yeah, SFA would be a hard pass for me, especially if I can swap for Outkast.

SFA are great but I agree dark days / light years is not their best although it’s still good

I didn't want I to be Super Furry Anomals either. But I've decided to quit VMP, so I don't really care anymore. One left field choice that I would dig though, is A Place To Bury Strangers - Exploding Head. Kinda fits the clue as well: 2009, indie rock and the scrambled pictures could very well be exploding heads for all I can see.
