Really wanted to be into this, but it looks like I'll be swapping my grand finale VMP ROTM. It seems fitting that this membership should end with a barely audible wheeze. Right now I've swapped for Rob, but I find myself digging the beats on that Knoxledge record... Ugh... Decisions are hard.

Yes because 1) its impossible to call a new release an "Essential" because only time divides the greats from the overhyped new releases and 2) overhyped new releases are everywhere when they release.

Extra red flags on this as Janet's depature may very well taint it forever

IMO, if this was an album I was super interested in, it's a nice variant and most sub costs are only a little more than the retail price for this.

That being said.... I could never really get into them and my sub renews August 1 so I think I'm probably taking a break from VMP for now.

I'm really torn on this time. I generally don't like new-release ROTMs. And while I like S-K, their last album didn't stick with me. I'm having a hard time imagining when I'll ever feel like spinning this new album when instead I can reach for One Beat, The Woods, or Dig Me Out. Or Masseduction for that matter.

Criminally Dehumanizer is out of my reach. I am also missing Vol 4 and Born Again. I actually think Born Again is quite good. So Vol 4 is next to grab. I’ve had them all on cd and have seen Ozzy fronted Sabbath twice.
