Yeah, Tidal is a great album, and the VMP pressing sounds amazing! But MF DOOM’s MM...FOOD also sounds extremely good. I have the current black pressing of MM...FOOD and the VMP MM...FOOD pressing sounds much better. Plus, the colour variant of the two discs look great!

I know GZ is hit or miss but I think it will sound really good! Fingers crossed! Da Brat’s Funkdafied sounds extremely good, so I think Run-DMC’s Raising Hell will be the same!

De La Soul’s Buhloone Mindstate, Handsome Boy School Modelling’s How’s Your Girl and Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle are my top #3 and MF DOOM is 4th. But, if MM...FOOD contained the original Kookies, it would be #1!
I’ll compare it to the current pressing (Back to Black) I have! Hoping the VMP pressing sounds at least a bit better! I’ll definitely update you (only thing is that I live in Australia, so I usually receive my VMP box 2-3 weeks after everyone. E.g - I haven’t got my November box yet).

And if the VMP pressing of Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle had the original tracklisting too (meaning it would contain the track Gz Up, Hoes Down), then it would be #2, behind MF DOOM!
tbh i barely understand the hate for Gz... they can make some pretty nice sounding stuff.... i mean when you press 20,000 records a day (just a guess) you are probably not going to get perfect QC, but we can't always expect audiophile pressings
Don’t stress about it! It’s a mistake! Other members have mentioned the same issue here! It will definitely be fixed by VMP soon. You will be receiving Run DMC’s Raising Hell for $23 as an add-on!
Counter point. There are a lot of things wrong with GZ and they consistently put out bad pressings month in and month out. HOWEVER, when they get it right their pressings can sound perfect. Unlike Rainbo that almost never gets it right (except The Kinks Mono Box which shockingly sounds really good).
I agree, IF they don't have massive warps, or no fill, or that weird sparkly shit that causes crackle; they usually sound quite good. BUT, I find in general they have one of those issues about 40% of the time. Once you get a clean one they generally sound quite nice... it's the amount of copies you have to go through to get one that's the issue.
