Oh my days, so im just listening to Blazing Arrows for the first time and have just read the track list info.

Gil Scott-Heron, Chali 2NA, and Questlove!! Whaaaaaaat.

And this lyricism is incredible. God damn im all in for this pick, looks like the OG is pricey as well so its not one of those that could of been picked up for a couple of quid.

It really is an amazing album. Really hoping it's the pick for the reason you mentioned.

Same here. I'm amazed how quickly blackalicious convinced me that they needed to be in my collection

I've listened to it for the first time ever myself today and it's great. These are the sort of picks I signed up for. Great couple of months for VMP lately if this is the pick

This forum always surprises me. I find Blackalicious to be a pretty well known entity in hip hop circles. I see all the other artists and albums that commenters here throw out and and love that when someone like Blackalicious becomes a revelation to them it just goes to show how wide the genre is.

I would have been stoked for PIN if it wasn't for the fact I literally just got a copy last month and I doubt this will add anything. Not like I need a worthless stencil haha.

I don't ever read or open the listening book but it's certainly better than a stencil. Lyric book would be great as well.

Might have to look for Blazing Arrow on the second hand market (not investing 3 months with VMP quite yet). Pretty nice to see they might be turning a corner on some of these RHH picks?

A near mint original press will run you about the cost of 3 months FWIW.

I meant the VMP version. Seems like finding them second hand isn't too pricey normally. If not, oh well. Got plenty of other stuff on my want lists.

I’ve been looking for a copy for a while and they never seem to sell for under $50 even in questionable shape. I’d be stoked to have a newly pressed copy if they do it.

I never heard it either and it’s only because I thought the name Blackalicious was dopey. I still think it’s a dumb name but I will fully admit that I was wrong not to listen to it and it’s an amazing album.

I have an OG copy of Blackalicious Blazing Arrow too. It's a top 10 favorite album of mine. I would gladly grab a vinyl me please version. Hopefully they can do exclusives of Melodica and Nia it well. Probably Wishful thinking.
