Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

Shame about Common. He’s been pretty open about how he was abused and molested as a kid.

She is also blowing up Black Thought and saying Malik wrote his raps

I left a "wow" react but the more I think about it, I can't feel all that surprised. In my experience, some of the most dangerous men are the ones who initially come off as progressive, intellectual and generally kind because abusive creeps will use that facade to appear trustworthy and harmless. People like that will say all the right things to try to seem like the good guy but behind closed doors, the real them comes out. I don't want to specifically level all this at Common but I think its important to realize that rapists and abusers come in various different forms and that people are capable of projecting an image of themselves to the public that doesn't reflect who they really are on the inside.
I agree, like I was shocked, but I’m not surprised at all really! It’s just very common of men to commit sexual assault...regardless of what job they do or where they come from etc! ⚠️😖

I really like Common, and absolutely love his Tiny Desk Concert. His album “Be” is one of my favourite albums of the 2000’s and I always get heart-warmed when I hear the song “Love Is...” ♥️

But I am shocked overall! Like whaaat!?!! I wonder what Common will say in response to Jaguar’s video. It’s going to be very interesting! 👀

Listened to Apollo Kids yesterday and this morning. This album is great and the beat selection is top tier. So, there's no way Vinyl Me, Please has chosen this album. 🤪
They just recently did Prince Paul’s Prince Among Thieves which is an excellent album in terms of production and everything else! The beats on Apollo Kids are really good though! 💎

I hope we go actually get Apollo Kids! 🤞

Went to casually check out what the best reissue of Supreme Clientele is and uh... holy hell I did not realize it's so hard to get! Like $100+?
From what I gather, it seems like for a lot of the Wu-Tang releases, CDs or cassettes are the way to go. But that's just from internetting, not from my own research. Anyway, since you have an audiophile set up, you might want to check that out before dropping a bunch of $ on something that's gonna sound like crap on your system. But if you have already done that investigation, sorry, I'll shut up, only trying to help, I'm SORRY!!!!!

Haha yeah don't worry I'm not dropping $100 on a hip hop repress unless I know it's gunna sound good. It seems like in general with hip hop vinyl OGs really are the only way to go unfortunately unless you get a VMP styled remaster. Although I gotta say those Streets reissues are absolutely incredible sounding. So there's obviously a few out there...

I have this copy (GOD) - I can spin it and tell you how she sounds if you want! From what I remember, it sounded good.
