I actually came in here to see if the O.S.T. non-VMP RE had cross-pollinated into here from the pre-order thread.

It is super weird. Usually if it is a large RE, VMP will put it in their exclusives and it will be whatever their variant is. But an actual track that is also having a larger RE campaign is odd (there is, of course, precedence - QOTSA, por ejemplo).

This should make anyone who wanted O.S.T. but didn't want VMP a bit relieved.

Did the OG (or '14 RE) LP have the skits? They aren't listed on the back of either of those either, according to Discogs images. So someone who has an OG can answer whether they weren't listed on either the record label or jacket, but were in fact in the playback; or weren't listed and weren't pressed. I'd assume the latter and most likely due to time constraints.

So you wouldn't really be missing out on anything re: authenticity to the original release.

For sure. I own it and I’ll check tomorrow when I get home. I don’t think they are on there.. the skits on this album truly make it for me so I was hoping they would be there!

The original pressing doesn’t have the skits
 
I’m a bit bummed this VMP pressing of Muddy Waters is unlikely to contain the skits. However, I’m still very happy even if we get Muddy Waters without the skits, as all the tracks in general are great! 👍

Still, fingers crossed this VMP pressing of Muddy Waters does contain the skits! 🤞

If the original (and 2014 RE) didn't I would bet your money that the VMP doesn't.
 
Ghostface Killah’s Fishscale is in store for $34 not $40! Just a heads up to anyone who wants to buy a copy but $40 was too expensive for them!

I'm not sure I understand the person's statement...so they asked VMP in private what? And how could you tell what from the mockup? Who is you? The customer, VMP? What was being confirmed - the mock up or the song list? 'Cause the song list shows them. The mock up (unless you can direct me to one I'm missing) does not.

But maybe. I don't know. A lot of stuff is bullshit. I'm not privy to the answers to conversations people ask in private.

That's why I said I would bet someone else's money. I'm just making conjectures. Right or wrong, I'm not too worried.

So, to answer your question....Yes, it is bullshit. Also, no it is not bullshit. Recycled colored bullshit.
 
It would be peak VMP to include the skits and then forget to actually add them to the jacket. Or to decide not to because it's too much work to do so. It would ALSO be peak VMP to claim the skits are on the pressing, when in fact they are not.

So until sometime has this in their hands, I don't think we're gunna know for sure.

If we're talking peak VMP, well then let's give them that omega-level shit....

They don't mention the skits on the jacket but they do press them on the vinyl. Plot twist - It's the rest of the album they forget to press!

@spankrock could always elaborate but I read it as them asking VMP privately on social media if Muddy Waters included the skits and being told that yes it will. Maybe our resident Storf Whisperer @TCell can ask for clarification.

I think they did this with Blazing Arrow, Halfway Home is def on there and wasn’t listed on the jacket.
