Good news. I look forward to receiving one somewhere around my fifth or sixth replacement...Same. Good copies do exist.

Seriously. I put it on and didn’t know what aI was listening for so I listened to side 4 attentively all the way through and no noise at all. Especially after comparing it to the samples listed here. That would be hard to miss.Good news. I look forward to receiving one somewhere around my fifth or sixth replacement...
Once again, I suspect GZ use their stampers well beyond their functional lifespan in order to save time and money. So any big runs have a lot of bad vinyl being pressed once you get up into the higher numbers. I suspect it's why the big run essentials are frequently bad, and I'm guessing this might have been the biggest monthly run of RHH in a very long time. So I bet that's why we're seeing this same issue this month on the usually very steady RHH track.Seriously. Well, good luck. I mean at some point You gotta get on the right side of one of these fuck ups…right?Once again, I suspect GZ use their stampers well beyond their functional lifespan in order to save time and money. Haha, HASN'T HAPPENED YET!Well, good luck. I mean at some point You gotta get on the right side of one of these fuck ups…right?
I guess depends on where you look. Reddit seems to have little issue, but there's several reports here about noise (although one or two people report it being fine). Here I find is a little more discerning with the quality of sound whereas reddit is more "ooh shiny". I'm hoping it's just a few instances of bad luck, but after MV it wouldn't be surprising to anyone if a large batch of the pressing was fucked.Just curious, why do we think there's a mass mess up on ATLiens? I've seen some reports of noise on side D but just as many or more that say everything is fine. Seems like it may just be "standard" error still until more repots come. With Mars it seemed like there was never good reports
Just realized I’d been posting about the OutKast in the Essentials thread.
Here’s what the start of my side D sounds like.
Woah woah woah did I miss something? Why is the track list completely different on the VMP ATLiens compared to the original?
According to the list on cogs it's identical. Why what are you seeing?
Yeah and the lack of additional artwork and no list of all the credits is annoying, too.The font on the back cover is also different from the original, I guess they had to re-create it due to the updated track listing and that was the closest option they could find
I was really hoping they would include the comic too.Yeah and the lack of additional artwork and no list of all the credits is annoying, too.
No comic?!?!I was really hoping they would include the comic too.
I don’t think the comic has ever been included with any vinyl versions. It’s not with my repress copy.No comic?!?!
That’s really disappointing!
It woulda been a nice extra though.I don’t think the comic has ever been included with any vinyl versions. It’s not with my repress copy.
I just listened to mine and I noticed the same right-channel noise as side D at the very beginning of Mainstream. I think it just gets drowned out a lot quicker than on side D just due to the song and the static from the sample. I really only noticed it on either side when listening through headphones though. If I'm listening through speakers as I usually do, it really wasn't noticeable for me. Debating whether or not it's worth the effort to even request a replacement.I've just requested a replacement for ATLiens due to static on track D1, fingers crossed they have good copies available to send. At first I thought side C was affected too but then I remembered the static on "Mainstream" is part of the sample and confirmed via the streaming version, side C noise = normal, side D noise = defect.
