Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

I really wish I was excited about the next three months, instead I guess gonna take that money and raid this one chain store I found over the weekend that had a ton of harder to find stuff tucked away in the hip hop section that seems to never have been touched (fucking finally got Meth and Redman!).
 
Listened to my PE last night, could be louder/more dynamic but no issues with crackle, a slight crackle at the beginning of side A that goes away when the music starts so I'm guessing it's as good as it gets? I forgot how good this record is and really how good those first 4 PE records are!

I think the only track censored is Fight The Power, specifically the line about John Wayne. I don't remember ever hearing that track without the beep. I remember hearing cursing on another track when I listened the other day. In general, I don't remember PE cursing that much anyway.

I think it's just Fight The Power because that was censored originally on the album. I don't think there are any copies that are uncensored aside from the single and Do The Right Thing...

But gimme a song that you know has swearing and I'll check.

I can confirm, the album is uncensored except for "Fight The Power."

If you want the uncensored version of that song, it's on expanded reissues of the album, or the "Do The Right Thing" soundtrack.
 
Bleh, the surface noise is pretty bad starting off on Side A. A shame, the packaging is gorgeous and the low volume isn't an issue for me. Hoping they're still doing replacements as they sent my box out so late this month.

Edit: Side C also starts off with noticeable surface noise but the opening song quickly drowns it out.

I’m floored at how this keeps happening. Even for a company with a shitty rep.. what the hell is going on here?
