For the love of god - I hope it's Bow Down. Two more 1996 choices:
Westside Connection - Bow Down
Geto Boys - The Resurrection

These may be the only two guesses I've seen so far that would make me stick around for RHH.Two more 1996 choices:

There are a lot of great records that came out in 89 and 96 (nothing from 2012 jumping out at me but that's just me) and part of me is excited and the other part is looking at a pile of Mars Volta records and hoping they somehow fuck this up!
If 89 is Maestro Fresh Wes Symphony in Effect I may take a few things I've said about this company back...who am I kidding it's going to be Kwame and those damn polka dots!!!
I was just thinking of an all Canadian month for VMP and was wondering about RHH and hating the idea of Drake but by god I think you got it.If it's Maestro, they damn well better offer up a discount to Canadian subscribers.

Essentials: either Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Stars, New Pornographers, BNL or OLP (all pressings are shit apparently). The hip would be lovely but hard to market outside of Canada.
Classics: Gordon Lightfoot or Oscar Peterson
Country: Shania Twain or Colter Wall
RHH: Maestro or Kardinal?
I think there is a 50% chance 89 has some kind of Marley Marl connection: Kool G Rap and DJ Polo, Heavy D, BDK. But I'm hoping for the first Gang Starr album.Hope for De La; expect Kid Rock.
Would definitely be down for The Money Store2012: Death Grips
This is the jackpot.I'm just gonna chuck out these wild guesses:
1996 - Mobb Deep - Hell on Earth
1989 - Kool G Rap & Polo - Road to the Riches
2012 - Billy Woods - History Will Absolve Me
2012: Death Grips
I think there's been some speculation that for RSD 2022 they are going to repress the black/white split variant of The Money Store that was released way back for RSD 2012 when the album first came out (10th anniversary I suppose?) What this means for the likelihood of VMP getting their hands on a variant, I don't know, but it's something to consider.Would definitely be down for The Money Store
My second copy was, but the first one was terribleDid anyone get a flat copy of Clipse? Mine was an all timer of a warp.
Feb is going to be DOC? Could be Ice-T or (long shot) Divine Styler but will probably be Young MC...
Of all the 1989 albums I'd definitely want it to be DOC.Feb is going to be DOC? Could be Ice-T or (long shot) Divine Styler but will probably be Young MC...
The Ice T is 12 tracks though.Feb is going to be DOC? Could be Ice-T or (long shot) Divine Styler but will probably be Young MC...
