Vinyl Me Please Rap & Hip Hop

I hear you. The only must haves for me are Lightning Hopkins and Modest Mouse. Besides that I’m not terribly excited by the lineup and am hoping for some decent swaps in February.

Overall it’s not a great start to the year.
Modest Mouse is the only album out of this quarter on any track I may sign up for a month for, but honestly I may roll the dice on a wider repress sometime soon.

like... really... young MC... i mean i watched his one hit wonderland but he is basically a diet fresh prince or MC hammer, it's safe and basic... practically normy

if you are going to do someone like young MC and on the same label from the same year why not tone loc

denial: "really? the bust a move guy"
anger: "how are they THIS basic"
bargaining: "why not tone loc or fresh prince if they want something this pop and simple"
depression: "i probably will unsub since nothing is good"
acceptance:

I'm confused on the hate for the 40 album. That's been a grail since I started collecting, a shame it was never on vinyl until now. Please don't fuck this up VMP.
That being said, it's looking like that's literally the only record I want out of the next three months :(. I think this will be the first time I skip 3 classics in a row if the suspected Feb/March albums come true.

It's mostly because of the issue of most rap albums when vinyl was "dead".. 70 minutes, around 14-20 tracks, you are almost expected to skip some parts you don't like but you can't do listening in one sitting is tiring.. it's an issue I have had with a lot of LPs in this track.. though maybe I just need something to fidget to
