Vinyl Me, Please Rock

Is the Clash Rock pick Combat Rock ? because I border on hate with that album. I also have the recent anniversary pressing which was gifted to me. I will secretly PIF it to Europeans but wait to see if they confirm it - may save someone a genre Add on.

Damn. It's my favourite if theirs for a variety of reasons, even though I think the two singles are vastly overplayed.

Honestly stoked for whatever Clash or Ramones records they might choose, though I already have clean copies of my fave albums by each. Anybody have any clue what the indie pick might be for July? Read somewhere it's been confirmed a UK band from the early 2000s, with most of the usual suspects mercifully already crossed off the list of possibilities. I also feel like I read somewhere a long while back that the pick would be an album well off the beaten path a la The Lemon of Pink ... which is pretty exciting. Not sure what VMP might slot into that particular category, though.

Confirmed that the band is NOT The Clash. So we're probably lookin at the Ramones.

Curious what the indie rock British band is. Who's ready for some Coldplay??
I don't personally love Coldplay, but that would be a huge get for them, no? Also, indie?

I don't remember where I read it, but there was a claim a while back that the indie pick would be something more in line with The Lemon of Pink. Not sure which UK indie bands from that era would qualify in that category. Maybe a Badly Drawn Boy or something in that vein?
