Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Finally listening to the Orchestra Baobab album. That's really a great album. 🙌❤️👏 If the VMP version sticks around long enough to end up in swaps next month, I might pick it up from them, otherwise I go for the regular black edition coming out September 25th.

All the early swap exclusives so far have been leftover copies (Grace, Bandana, Irma, etc). I think Handsome Boy Modeling School have been the only two represses. I'd be pretty surprised if they did an entire repress especially with Noname and VMP pretty much saying it will never happen.
 
For anybody enjoying the Orchestre Baobab record, I'd urge you to check out this reissue of what might be their best original album from the 1970s (available to stream as half of Bamba on Spotify). I can't recommend this one enough...

I have a theory that The Storf went silent (spoiler: he didn’t, he just posts anonymously now) after a couple board meetings made it clear that some of their projects would make him look like a complete asshat. People are still hanging on to his old pathetic prophecies of “this will never be pressed again” as if he is deserving of having a leg to stand on.

Well Saba flat out said his album wouldn't get repressed. I know things can change though and that's why I refuse to pay the crazy flipper prices on most VMP exclusives. I'll be more surprised if any true exclusives get repressed. I think any previous ROTMs have a possibility of getting a repress.

Your theory could hold water although Storf did a fine job of making himself look like an asshat at times, so don't know that it took some board meetings to realize that hah.
