I don't like to dismiss anyone's taste -- I listen to plenty of weird shit that would make other people's eyes twitch, and taste is subjective etc etc.

But having suffered through Mariah in the 90s and 00's when she was on-air and had her moment in the limelight, I simply do not understand the fascination with her music on vinyl. I'm glad you guys are enjoying it, but I Really Do Not Get It.

IMO the high point of Mariah Carey's career was when Emergency Broadcast Network sampled that piercing shriek of hers for EBN's "Get Down".

Looks like its coming out in late October (if this is accurate).

Its a bit of a challenge to find these new releases on the VMP website! Logged in around 12:00pm and saw Fancy Free, The Magician and Energy Control Center :rolleyes:

That’s the way Black Jazz packaged their LP originally

Black Jazz Records was also known for its unique album cover concept, which was copyrighted by the label. The concept included a design that allowed the title to be shown regardless of how the albums were positioned in the browsing rack at record stores. All of the albums had white lettering on a black background, with the liner notes and personnel listed in the same place on each of the label's releases.
