Shipping kinda kills that sale. Getting it from PP is about 30 pounds shipped, compared to $27 from VMP. I expect the VMP version to be a good pressing as it's AAA and done by RKS at QRP.

Any word about Ali Farke Toure and Courtney Marie Andrews? Both say In Stock but have not shipped for me.

I just saw someone on Reddit post they got a shipping notice for Ali Farke Toure, so that should be on the way soon. Although keep in mind if you ordered it along with another pre-order that isn't in stock yet, they're going to hold it. That's what happened with my Peanuts Portraits, which is tied up until October November because of Sonny Sharrock.

Thanks for reminding me to check on my Skull Session copy, which looks to be a bit dished/warped as well. Hopefully I can get a replacement.

I havent listened to it yet, but the liner notes on the Ambrose Akinmusire are fantastic. Archie Shepp clearly has a way with words (just imagine getting someone of that calibre to write your liner notes!!!) and the stories he weaves into it are fantastic. Top class.

On a side note, VMP are peddling the 'increase in quality leading to an increase in prices' claim yet they STILL use those god awful non-lined paper inners. The Ceasar Frazier had a load of paper debit over it.
