So my Pylon came and its a bit off on the color description. Even the warning email looked a lot greener than this. This is literally a streak of green on blue. And man, these two Pylon records are some if the dirtiest out the sleeve I've seen in a bit.

Yeah, that one doesn’t look like the mock-up much at all unfortunately. That’s annoying it’s dirty too. Hopefully it sounds great after a clean and plays through nicely! 🤞
 
I had a big box from VMP today with some records that I had almost given up hope on. I need to open them all up but included was:

Coleman Hawkins - The Hawk Flies High
Harold Alexander - Sunshine Man
Sun Ra - A Fireside Chat with Lucifer
Freddie Gibbs - Alfredo (which isn't something I have heard before but heard a lot of hype, so hopefully it will be worth the purchase)
Gorillaz - Song Machine, Season One
Roland Haynes - 2nd Wave

Looking forward to digging in.

This has had more varients than I have had hot dinners.

In fact they copy I bought came from VMP back when they sold standard pressings (although this one was on orange).

Still, fantastic album if you have never heard it. I have to thank @mcherry and @GritNGlitter once again for first turning me onto this album when they were discussing it over on the old forum years back.

Agreed, great album but the world does not need another variant of this.

Ordered the Mingus & Junior Wells as a starter. I'm not sure about the other choices but will probably also get the Sonny Stit & might consider the Belafonte (so much cheaper through VMP, it would be amazing if they got a broader stock selection)

A bit disappointed that they haven't added some of the titles I missed first time round though.
