He peddles their Wares on the InternetI've gone from "how much is VMP giving you?" to "how much is Leon Ware's estate giving you?".
Honestly really wanted to like this but man was it not for me. I'd read a book about it though as I found looking into the history really interesting... well... maybe a chapter in a book. Turns out I'm too sexy for Milan, New York and Japan but not sexy enough for Leon Ware albums. Ah Nuts!I agree, I Want You is superior, especially vocally! Marvin Gaye’s passionate, lustful, sexy vocals really are intoxicating!
I Want You is a top 20 album of all-time for me however! And I think the subtle, smooth, complex and intricate musical arrangements on Musical Massage are nothing but sensational! Leon Ware’s falsetto and crooning still hits the spot and I love how the instrumentation on Musical Massage is very much at the forefront with Leon’s vocals being the ‘tasty massage’!
Musical Massage just oozes with so much goodness! Marvin Gaye’s I Want You is a better album, no doubt! But Musical Massage is just ohhhh......soooooo.....freaking good!
Same, I REALLY wanted to like this after passing on Frederick Knight last month, same with the wife...but it just didn't take hold as much as we'd like. Ended up going with Cudi, Cash and using a swap for Tough Guys which I've been mildly regretting not picking up. Had a fourth track but cancelled that and used the money for Spriritualized today. Hoping the next three months of classics are a bit stronger. Last "knocked it out of the park" pick for me was Hathaway.Honestly really wanted to like this but man was it not for me. They can put this review on their hype sticker
I hope the day comes that the Jazz Dispensary releases are in swaps. $45 is way overpriced. I did buy Axelrod as soon as it came out b/c I am a big Axelrod fan...and I used credit to reduce the price of Idris...but no way can I justify $45 on the others (IMO).

After a while you start being able to read Nathan’s emoji use
This whole conversation had me thinking that the only time I've accidentally damaged a record was the one time I dropped my Only Built 4 Cuban Linx and created a small scratch that still plays through fine...I proceeded to immediately ding my Aretha Franklin Atlantic Singles Rhino pressing. This conversation is cursed.

I went with Fat Possum site, used a 20% off code and came in under VMP's member price (and I'm not a member).Spiritualized is pricy but reasonable through Bandcamp. So I will pay extra to continue to not be a member of VMP. Plus if I buy it Friday then Jason gets a few more bucks out of it hopefully.
Only 17 copies left of Galt MacDermot’s The Nucleus!!!
This is an AAA reissue, played at QRP and remastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound, so this exclusive will sound fantastic! Only USD$25 if you’re a member as well! If you’re on the fence, I suggest getting this exclusive as it’ll sound glorious and will be a very enjoyable album to spin on the turntable!
Yeah, I can imagine because that exclusive went on sale like 3 months ago!Almost pulled a trigger, but then I remembered I already bought it.
Do you ever get one that sounds like ass while spinning on your turntable? Just curious because you always say it will be enjoyableOnly 17 copies left of Galt MacDermot’s The Nucleus!!!
