Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

See I think this is oversimplified. If you have a ton of vinyl already then I can see how it would be a waist. To me Classics has been the best track, and Country so far. If you have a cheaper price (as I do) And are interested in building a collection while discovering some things and using swaps, it can be great. QC seems to be the biggest gripe. I can totally understand that. For me... I've only had to return two discs in two years.
Agreed. I keep my subscription active because VMP has a good track record of producing definitive pressing editions of great albums, if it was just colored vinyl I wouldn’t be as compelled to subscribe.

The jackets feel nice but the definitive aspect is thanks to a well thought out marketing strategy. They get the occasional AAA but otherwise it’s colored vinyl, a number stamp and the intoxicating build up to the VMP treatment. Just doesn’t feel justified for the 100% markup they charge.

🚨🚨🚨Only 8 copies left of Medeski, Martin & Wood’s Uninvisible!!!🚨🚨🚨

Urghhhhhh.

Finally got around to opening up the Art Blakey Chippin' In. As I was opening it I thought that it looked really tight and both records are crazy warped. Dish warps on both of them. Believe it or not, the 2 photos below are 2 separate discs. The video would give you motion sickness.

What is…something you don’t have anymore because you spent it all on vinyl ?

Ohhhhhh I see!!! 😅

Well I’m hoping the Australian government allows for me to take my superannuation again for the third financial year as COVID is still affecting the population/economy!

Without trying to be greedy or sound greedy, I want as much money as possible so then I can experiment and live a lifestyle I can’t afford without the superannuation release payment!
