Did anyone grab the Clem Snide - Ghost of Fashion reissue?
Did anyone grab the Clem Snide - Ghost of Fashion reissue?
How does it sound?
Mine was set to expire at the end of January but I had a bunch of store credit that I converted to membership credit so I'm in for three more months and then will reevaluate. My membership expires I think in 2 months. Then I’m out for awhile until at least the new plant opens and I see what titles they are pressing and what the quality is like. If they press a classics album I like I might dip back in but I haven’t done longer than a 3 month sub in a really long time.
It’s done really well, I was very happy with it. I just picked up the a black copy from my local.
Good to hear. I don't need the coloured vinyl version but have store credits and want to be done with VMP after FebruaryIt’s done really well, I was very happy with it. I just picked up the a black copy from my local.
I got Ghost of Fashion and Your Favorite Music. YFM is the VMP. Ghost of Fashion was purchased straight from Sundazed (they have a deal where if you spend over $50 you get a free test pressing). Both BoomBoom cuts and sound great. Really like the bonus side of cover songs on each album. Not sure where they are pressed. Came with weird inners I haven’t seen before (totally clear and almost like outer jacket material)Did anyone grab the Clem Snide - Ghost of Fashion reissue?

The owner of my local here doesn't like to chat about music.
Awkward. But he'll chat about the business side of things sometimes if the store is empty. Just doesn't ever engage about music.
I’ve had mixed experiences with some shop owners. My favorite shop in NYC was called In Living Stereo. One guy who worked there would always recommend other artists and albums based on what I brought up to the register. Then he’d spin some of the ones he picked out for me. More often than not I’d end up leaving with another record or two. There was another shop near where I lived called The Record Grouch which was very aptly named. The owner of your local doesn’t like to chat about music? Wtf?
Just spun the Amazon copy that came the next day. Sounds good, may be just the sound of saving a bunch of money though. No regrets.Eh, I may just snag it from Amazon for $32CAD. $37 is steeep.
EDIT: Aaand done.
Which pressing did it end up being? There are a few different cuts I thinkJust spun the Amazon copy that came the next day. Sounds good, may be just the sound of saving a bunch of money though. No regrets.

Yea they should still be there! Good shop. Academy Annex in greenpoint was another one of my favorites. Very fair prices for used stuff, paid great prices for records as well. Always interesting records and a great mix of rock and jazz on the walls at all times. On RSD They would do the RSD stuff but also put out tons of rare used stuff for awesome prices. Their Manhattan location gets insane rare jazz stuff in all the timeIs Human Head still operating? Best record shop I visited while I was there a few years ago.
“Went in on Tuesday to buy the new Taylor Swift but I’m still here. Please send help.My wife will tell you I talk about too much music as it is. If I had a shop… it’d be over….
