Forgive my ignorance but is this a set? Like a single purchase for all 3, or is it 4 individual records for sale being labelled as a set?

Could also be Pathways… but yeah, unfortunately rules out the reissue titles.

Archie Shepp could be The Cry of My People or Kwanza (just reissued but never stopped VMP before)

Mystery title might be Alice Coltrane - Lord of Lords? Also had a recent reissue that’s pretty good

Yep, same with Astro Black. So I think both of the Ra titles that were originally released on Impulse! as quads have been done by KG on Modern Harmonic.

Those interested in four you should save $20 by purchasing the bundle.

i think the three quad Sun Ras were Space is the Place, Pathways and Astro Black. so guessing its one of those!

Yep, same with Astro Black. So I think both of the Ra titles that were originally released on Impulse! as quads have been done by KG on Modern Harmonic.

Yeah, Modern Harmonic has done a great job with both of these. Different art than the Impulse! releases, but restoration of the original cover art isn't gonna be enough to have me pay VMP prices for either of them - if I'm paying that much I'm going to just pay the bit extra for an actual Impulse! pressing.

As for Space is the Place, it's actually a Blue Thumb release, but Impulse! Has issued it on CD. It's got a Verve By Request reissue coming out, but that's nowhere near as good as a KPG MH reissue.

Ooh, Coltrane’s Interstellar Space was a quad. That would be amazing- copies of all pressings of that one are pretty pricy.

I wonder if it will be more like the Jazz Dispensary- $50 per title. So $180 for the four would make it at least somewhat in line with other audiophile titles.
