isn't there a recent KG cut of that for like $20?

Yep, same with Astro Black. So I think both of the Ra titles that were originally released on Impulse! as quads have been done by KG on Modern Harmonic.

Yeah, Modern Harmonic has done a great job with both of these. Different art than the Impulse! releases, but restoration of the original cover art isn't gonna be enough to have me pay VMP prices for either of them - if I'm paying that much I'm going to just pay the bit extra for an actual Impulse! pressing.

As for Space is the Place, it's actually a Blue Thumb release, but Impulse! Has issued it on CD. It's got a Verve By Request reissue coming out, but that's nowhere near as good as a KPG MH reissue.

Hope it’s Space Is the Place then! Missed on the Jackpot reissue from a few years ago. I didn’t realize Impulse! had the rights to that one.

As far as I can tell Archie Shepp only released three titles in Quad: Attica Blues, The Cry of My People, and Kwanza. Attica was Classics #1, and Verve/Third Man just did Kwanza like a month ago (with RKS cutting), so I think we can assume it's The Cry of My People which is arguably Shepp's best album, and hasn't ever been reissued? Damn.

For the unknown one, I'm hoping for Michael White's The Land of Spirit and Light.
