I just ordered the Rough Trade exclusive. $35 and I can pick it up for free at the store. Guessing VMP's will be in the $45 range.

They had t-shirts and hoodies, poster, the album in LP format (not sure about CD), and some other accessory stuff I don’t remember.

everyone who got the dolly sub seemed to really like it, but as usual, VMP seemed to overestimate the demand for it and then didn't know what to do with all the extra copies of albums so they sold them in the store. They never should have said you could only get them with a sub and then put them in the store for anybody to buy.

Overestimating demand is a theme. I suppose once you’re left with a surplus of albums there’s little else you can do, as shit as it was for people who subscribed. They could have offered a free record or a code or some credit as a sorry…

Yeah, but people that were in for the first three were probably mostly in for all of it. Doing subs that way only fucks them if they start opening up other slots.

Also, if you do have leftovers… that’s the time to pull out the insane prices. Price them at $60 or something and never put them in swaps.

Coming in super late on this, but I just heard about the drama. I am not surprised by lack of communication continuing to be a big problem at VMP. Has been that way since long before I was a moderator on the old forum.

I am even more dismayed by Alexandra's suit against Cam and VMP. What a shitty way to treat people.

Also holy shit a subscription costs ~$50 a month now?! It was $23/record when I started, and even then I thought it was a little steep.
