Held up to the light, mine definitely has red, purple and green. I posted elsewhere that I think it's probably because the additive properties of the translucent pellets make the blue dye in the green pellets blend with the red dye in the red pellets to create purple where they overlap. I've decided that it's just a physical limitation of the pressing process and isn't truly a defect. Plus, mine sounds GREAT! I'm pretty happy with it.

Oh yeah for sure, even in the old forum days I remember them constantly dropping hints. Pretty heavy set of releases on the run up to chritsmas considering we have seen the QOTSA release as well.

Yeah. I believe that they actually announced that they would be doing a trio of drops for Fiona, but they might not have named her specifically, if that makes any sense. Either they did, or they made it incredibly clear. So, the 3 drops were supposed to be the Tidal repress, Idler Wheel, and When The Pawn. And then, I think we were to expect when the Pawn the same week as Idler Wheel, but they fucked everything up and tried to do the whole thing at the same time they did the migration. They pushed it back to that Thursday, then Friday, then the following Tuesday, among drops for other releases happening Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday... but... OOOF! The whole thing went to shit. Storf told people what days it would happen. They set time in their days apart for these drops and they didn't actually happen, but he wouldn't say anything until someone on reddit asked about where it was in real time. Then they released Idler Wheel when the site was fucked and some people couldn't get in or didn't even have it registered that they were members.

So... obviously, with everything happening, the timeline moved and broke in half.

On top of this, he stopped even alerting people to drops in advance until within the hour right before they go live. Good thing that Idler Wheel wasn't limited in numbers or to who could buy it, because members that weren't able to access their shit were scrambling to get it through a busted system. So, there might be one today. Who knows? If so, he'll probably pop up on reddit and post something with no real warning.

I'm curious as to why they didn't just revert back to the old functioning system once the new one was malfunctioning, until they could test it and get it right.

You've confirmed what I thought in that case, that the new store debacle messed up their release dates. Somehow I was able to get on it and order 'Idler Wheel...' fine, and I pretty much jumped on as soon as it dropped. I believe this was because I had already sorted the missing payment info through CS beforehand. They got lucky that it wasn't a limited release, that would have been a complete shit show. Im really hoping When The Pawn isnt limited either, im not overly fussed about missing it as I should be able to check regularly, its more the issues of the mad scramble crashing it again thats my concern.

Completely agree with you there, but to be fair im glad they pushed the releases back to give it time to settle
