i would bet dollars to donuts it's tax. it's the new year and i'm betting on some sort of law change being the culprit. discogs has started to collect tax per new laws and regulations coming in to effect recently, and while i wouldn't think vmp is considered the same type of business as discogs (a "marketplace facilitator"), i could see similar regulations being imposed on them.

the issue though, of course, isn't any of that (or any other explanation), it's that this added charge of some sort was not communicated.

Magnolia Thunderpussy recently sold me my sealed OOP of Prefab Sprout Two Wheels Good. Not gonna say it's the seller name that got me...but that seller name!

Also was an immaculate copy at a fantastic price...but that name tho

We will find out soon bc everyone will have to be charged that tax if true

I agree w your opinion on Trent. With Teeth is a good album. Gotta see them twice on that tour and it was fantastic.

HOWEVER... and just my opinion, With Teeth is one of, if not the, weakest entries in the NIN discog

Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of OOS records make return visits to the store page. Their inventory system has got to be an absolute mess still. But either way, I doubt they'll ever re-add Tidal to swaptions even if they get a decent amount of more stock of it.

For once this isn't VMP's fault; this is due to a recent Supreme Court case that basically opened the floodgates for state sales tax on online orders. Unless you live in a state with no sales tax, expect this to be the norm everywhere in the coming months.
