Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

This is the 3rd instance of this being reported in the past 24 hours. Late last night was the post about nearly 2 dozen different albums, ~$1,000 of which were unordered/paid for by the person receiving them, then someone got 26 copies of Ainslie, now this. YIKES
they're just giving it all away. how does no one in the warehouse stop to think that no one would ever order 26 fucking copies of one album? baffling

The people in the warehouse are not responsible for validating orders. They're a 3rd party that VMP contracts with. If the orderbook that Saddle Creek gets from VMP says to ship 26 units of SKU#1234AINSLIE5678 they're going to ship 26 units of that stocked item to the address in the orderbook

Me too! Still an hour left in work though 😟
I have cut out carbs for 30 days (no beer) so I can loose the 10+lbs I packed on between Thanksgiving and New Years. Already down 7.5 lbs but the no booze part of it is the worst! So, yeah I would even drink a Guinness I want a beer so bad. There is a ton of reasons That pregnant women amaze me but to go through 9 months plus without enjoying an adult beverage is probably towards the top.

if i knew april was great i would be fine staying for another 3 months (ending on a high note so i happy)

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT i need certainty that i wont have a bad note to end on with april

and i need to know WHEN the pressings preorders for the roots and El-P are because goddammit i just want those on vinyl too since if i DONT join and there are no reissue campaigns for them i am losing money not resubbing

see my post above. It is not a problem of the People in the warehouse.
Unless there’s a worker in there purposely doing this. I’ve worked in warehouses where casual workers have actually done this. I worked at the Thermo Fisher warehouse and a casual worker hated the manager and as revenge on his last few days, sent stock to the wrong people and even shipped boxes with only ice in there to companies 😂😂😂

Same thing also happened when I worked at OfficeMax! There was no one checking anyone’s orders. There were around 35-40 pickers, including me. Two guys purposely picked the wrong things as a joke. They were drawing penis’ on books and were just grabbing random and stock and being funny and then shipping it. No one said anything as the manager was really stubborn and fired people beforehand for little mistakes.

I seriously wouldn’t be surprised if there’s that one worker doing this on purpose, because it does happen more than you would think.

Ive worked with crazy people. Like purposely people putting plastic in ice-cream tubs and then having the machine automatically fill it. The tub won’t be stopped as there’s no metal in it. Like people just do crazy things in warehouses. Managers stress out and put their stress out on workers and the workers retaliate by doing shit like this.....

i dont think one single worker is doing all of this though...

i mostly blame the move over to shopify causing all the confusion

Yeah, I think it’s definitely the poor store migration, communication and shopify incident too! But you never know! I’m working at HACH Pacific and I pick the orders and dispatch them too. It’s possible there’s legit that worker that did this on their last one or two days of working there.

Like I can imagine someone just sending stuff out to different people thinking it’s funny, because people do that.

But I do think it’s the store migration/shopify like you’re saying!
