Thanks! Well, I might purchased this Norah Jones ' record then. I've been looking for this particular press for a while and thought I could find it easily in France when it got repressed. In fact it's not that easy. 20% discount + potential free shipment is a great opportunity.

With some of those albums, I just don't understand why someone would pay $40-60 for a copy, no matter how nice. Its sort of like some of the MoFis are straight Dad Rock or nostalgic oldies.

I guess maybe if you just have to have a brand new, never opened copy. A quick visit to any record store on the planet would turn up multiple used copies for under $10 in perfectly listenable condition.

1 LP x 33rpm (I have it and it's fantastic) vs 2 LP x 45rpm

edit to add: when it comes to AP pressings I almost always choose the 1LP x 33rpm but I know plenty of people prefer the 2 LP x 45rpm

Point taken. If you must have that cut over any of the literal scads available over the past 60 years then I suppose it is priced at FMV. If you want the music and, say 5 more albums like it, it's the same money.

Mine was indeed Woodstock. It's a pretty cool looking box. I would have never gotten it for the retail price (heck no!), but I am very very pleased to have it for what I paid.
