Yeah, I can see the store exclusive of The Marshall Mathers LP on "Slim Shady White" vinyl now.Wouldn't be terribly surprised if they broke that rule. Hard to say though.

How could he be clearer? He’s married to a kardashianKanye is mostly reformed tho iirc. He stopped taking his meds and he's apparently been way clearer in the head these past few months
This was my thinking too. The small number of people giving them shit would be wildly disproportionate to those who want an official pressing of the album. Besides, like you hinted at, it's "cool" to like Kanye. Not so much Eminem in 2019. But I see Fiona Apple of QOTSA happening before Kanye or Frank tbh. Although wouldn't Fiona go against their "no artist twice in the same track" rule? Where else would she go other than Essentials? Or are they meaning just as an exclusive?

Just seems silly to me that they went with Tidal as the "Essential" just so they could say it was the first time on vinyl. There are two more that are more essential (imo of course) but happened to have small presses and are still in high demand. Might not have been VMPs choice though. At the old place, Storf said Fiona would be an exclusive rather than an Essentials pick. Of course, he also liked my post asking if it would be in the store in the next 3 months, so.......
Anyone know when this is likely to go on sale, I’m keen to grab but being in Australia it’s going to involve setting my alarm to get up on the middle of the nightColor variant of Jeff Buckley's Grace added to the store. We newbury now
Jeff Buckley ‘Grace’ + Bonus 7" | Vinyl Me, Please
When Jeff Buckley tragically drowned in the Mississippi on the shores of Memphis, he left behind a myth, a smoke trail whisper of his talents. He wasn't yet a star, but he did have a masterpiece in his catalog: The one studio album he'd make when he was alive, 'Grace.' Its centerpiece is...app.vinylmeplease.com
The only Eminem album I’d say is rare is infinite but even then, I don’t really need to listen to itNah, they'd jump at the opportunity to officially press Graduation. Eminem's popular albums haven't really aged well and as far as I know are readily available to people that want them. If one of those early Em records had never been pressed on vinyl they'd press that too. They're anti-Eminem because it in no way hurts the bottom line.
The only Eminem album I care to own on vinyl is The Eminem Show since it's pretty much the only one of his that's fairly consistent all the way through (consistently good, that is). I'd say The Slim Shady LP is fairly solid too. The rest are very hit and miss. The only Eminem album I’d say is rare is infinite but even then, I don’t really need to listen to it
Do you think they'd be too afraid to do a Graduation pressing given Kanye's more "controversial" statements? I mean it'd be a big get so I can see them looking past it but I also remember Storf flat out saying there were other artists they wouldn't do for similar reasons (I always assumed that was the reason for the anti-Eminem stance).
I agree, it was more just a hypothetical question than anythingThey would absolutely jump at the chance to do ANYTHING with Kanye.
Don't know if it was ever mentioned anywhere, but according to VMP's website, The Spins is "on pause" for a "summer break."
Marshall Mathers LP? I think that one’s pretty damn good, I’d even say it’s a classic IMO.The only Eminem album I care to own on vinyl is The Eminem Show since it's pretty much the only one of his that's fairly consistent all the way through (consistently good, that is). I’d say Marshall Mathers LP was the best at the time and is probably the most creative/skilled of his albums, but of the first three only The Eminem Show doesn’t have significant moments that make me cringe 15-20 years later and it has aged much better than the first two.Marshall Mathers LP? I agree that most of the skits are cringe inducing, but it still has MANY of his best songs on there. The Way I Am, Stan, The Real Slim Shady, Criminal, Drug Ballad, Remember Me, Marshall Mathers. It's a fantastic EP. I have an OG copy I luckily found for like $15 on discogs a year or so ago. It gets regular spins in my house and is full of summer jams. Glad you got a copy!Solange already sold out, so I’m really happy I got a copy!
That EP has aged really well! It’s like a classic EP!
