And I can confim that I'm a sucker and just did the same--used the Creem promo and the JOINTHECLUB20 coupon to reactivate my account for 3 months and pick up a few things for something like $22 a record after taxes (3 ROTMs plus 3 freebies for $119 + taxes). "Catch-up" records are $31.20 if you order them when (re)subscribing, so I grabbed only one and hope to pick up a couple more at a lower price during a Black Friday sale.

Exactly what I did. It’s not a bad deal if there are things you want in the Creem list and a recent ROTM or two you like. I thought I’d take a longer break, but I’m into the Malik and Frisell picks.

We probably placed similar orders. I subscribed with Frisell and Malik was my one add-on.
And in case anyone's interested, the free picks for the Creem offer have changed in the last month or so. They're still not great, but I added the Black Keys - Magic Potion store exclusive. I was very surprised to see that there. It must not be selling well.

Pretty much. The Creem thing isn’t a code. So you go through that renewal page, then you can add the extra code at the end. They let you do the same thing last year for the big freebies promo, too.
I didn’t realize until after I checked out that the 20% applies to any records you add-on (they prompt you about adding on past ROTMs for $39).

As someone who has most of the VMP stuff I wanted, I couldn’t find anything in that list to entice me to sign up. I’ll probably use a referral if I wanna dive back in.
