I tried a simple brace under but no real room sadly. I have had the drawers for about 5-6 years and the sagging is not terribly noticeable. But once you know its there you can't not see it as the cases slightly lean into the middle.
That is the brand that made my stand. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
What will you be using for the legs/frame? I thought the idea was that the butcher block sits on isolation feet of some kind to decouple the TT from the surface it is on. Something like this you could build isolation into shelves at the legs since they sit in a rail.
I'm thinking you can add some rubber spacers at the shelf ends.
that's what i was thinking too but it looks like those shelves are screwed into the legs as they obviously can't just be resting on there. looks like they plug up the screw holes on the sides

Yeah but since he is doing it himself, he doesn’t need to do that. Rubber spacers at the end or just making the top shelf a fully removable piece for the table are both options.

I might cut an isolation board for the cd player when I cut some shelves for my wife. Mostly just because I have those isoacoustic pucks doing nothing currently. lol.

Oh snap! Those look great.I was seriously considering building shelves with that butcher block and these legs (from the shop below). They come in custom widths/heights and the braces can be put at specified locations and seem reasonably priced. I never went through with it, just passing along my own research...

Reason being is I have to (at least temporarily) move some of my collection and storage to the basement. While it is a conditioned space and stays generally dry, I worry about putting the Kallax directly on the carpet since there could still be some humidity coming up from the 50 year old slab...
I know IKEA has a new base leg system, but I am reading that any Kallax older than a few years will be too wide to fit.
I was looking at something like these from Home Depot, with the understanding that I may need to use 6 or more to hold the weight of a 4x2 Kallax (only half full but still).
