Crushed some Red Stripe with jerk chicken a couple weeks back and they were glorious.Stubby bottles are the best.
Well my wife actually works for Sapporo/Sleeman so kinda neither? I'm a craft guy. Love Unibrou. You a Molson or Labatt guy?
Man I haven’t had a Mickeys since I was 19.It reality, PBR is no better or worse than, say Coors, and I practically lived on those up until my mid/late 20’s. So, I’m just having fun.
In my teens I was all about Mickey’s wide mouths. (Shudder).
But you gotta have a preference.Well my wife actually works for Sapporo/Sleeman so kinda neither? I'm a craft guy. Love Unibrou.
If you’re drinking malt liquor beyond your early 20s you may have made some poor life choices.Man I haven’t had a Mickeys since I was 19.
I guess generally due to their extended network of brands like Goose Island I'd go for Labatt? But you gotta have a preference.
More than I ever wanted to know about anyone. As a Canadian I am not legally allowed to like Coors but I will say that I fuck with Coors Banquet.
Good lord man. Is there a meal better than a good jerk chicken, rice and peas, with some beer and sweet plantains?Crushed some Red Stripe with jerk chicken a couple weeks back and they were glorious.

Yes but it's been expanded to grocery stores and soon convenience stores as well. So a lot less of them now.you guys still have designated beer stores in Ontario?
Is this akin to our ABC stores down here where you can only buy liquor bottles at them?Yes but it's been expanded to grocery stores and soon convenience stores as well. So a lot less of them now.
Yeah we have Liquor Stores and and Beer stores, LCBO sell beer wine and liquor, Beer store just beer, grocery is beer and wine.Is this akin to our ABC stores down here where you can only buy liquor bottles at them?
Yeah here it’s liquor only at those stores (commercial as well). You can buy beer anywhere.Yeah we have Liquor Stores and and Beer stores, LCBO sell beer wine and liquor, Beer store just beer, grocery is beer and wine.
That’s a lot of shops to prepare for a dinner party.Yeah we have Liquor Stores and and Beer stores, LCBO sell beer wine and liquor, Beer store just beer, grocery is beer and wine.
Yeah it varies province to province. Go to Quebec and they'll sell a bottle of whiskey to a nine year old out the back of a van.... legally. Ontario a little slow in the uptake. But it's basically gunna be similar to the US, still have to go to a liquor store for hard stuff, but everything else will be available pretty much wherever. That’s a lot of shops to prepare for a dinner party.
Colorado used to have “Blue Laws” that restricted our grocery stores to selling beer that topped out at 3.2%abv, and you had to go to liquor stores for the rest. We also had restrictions on weekends.
Happily most of those dark days are behind us.
WA State used to be the same way right before we moved out here. Never experienced it though. All the Government Beer Store were sold to independent retailers but most went out of business pretty quick since once things opened up to grocery stores it was pretty tough for them to keep up price wise.Yeah here it’s liquor only at those stores (commercial as well). You can buy beer anywhere.
