Oh my! Both of these songs are extraordinary! The vocals and passion/emotion give me chills! Édith’s voice is so pristine and beautiful! I prefer these two songs as well actually! I’m so happy you linked them Skalap! I really adore these two songs! ♥

I need to get Édith Piaf on vinyl, but I haven’t seen any Analogue Productions, MoFi, Speakers Corner or any other ‘audiophile’ pressings/reissues of her catalogue! Have you got any Édith Paif on vinyl?

I do have one: Edith Piaf - Piaf - 25e Anniversaire

I am not even sure if there are great OG recordings of her albums. I know there are a lot of live recordings, compilations and albums with the same songs again and again and most of her early records are Shellac 10''. It would be nice if a Kevin Gray could take on these songs and do something with it but, again, original tapes are also probably lost or destroyed.

Yeah, it would be great if Kevin Gray could take on some Édith Piaf! Hopefully in the future we see an audiophile reissue campaign/pressing of her work! 🤞

@Edd

Could the next AotM be a new album released in July that is supposed to be released on September 1st on gold vinyl and band member's were in a group that has been picked for a past AotM?

Thanks for this message. Happy to see this beauty on your turntable.

Hi Edd. Been thinking about giving WBC a go for a while and recent decisions by other clubs may have pushed me over the line. Couple of questions though

1. Do you have any top secret plans to increase the sub by 50% in the not too distant future and

2. I've noticed that all int packages are a standardised rate, which I imagine is for shipping, is that right? I say that from Newcastle in England so really im close enough that if you threw the records they'd probably reach me.

Anyway, look forward to chatting more. Bit gutted to have missed out on the Oliver Nelson. I guess you snooze you lose.

Hi Rowan,

thanks for your interest, I mean it. Here my answers :
1. Absolutly not. Our only, not so secret, plan is to send good records in good shape.
2. Our international membership is here : Abonnement Archives – Wax Buyers Club. Price does include shipping, for pretty much all over the world. Free shipping for add on. I try to keep it simple.

I still have a few Oliver Nelson left. As a member, it is quite easy to get it, ask @NathanRicaud : he knows it!

Received these two beauties this morning. All bonuses are included but unfortunately the sleeves are a bit damaged.

Anton Serdeczny, Michael Wookey, Jean-Christophe Lacroix ‎– Lullabies From Under The Lake (with artprint)
Wax Tailor ‎– Hope & Sorrow (with signed poster and slipmat)

I also have The Waxidermist ‎– The Origami Case on my way. I am slowly trying to add more past WBC AotM to my collection :)

Oh the Lullabies From Under the Lake is so great. A picture disc very well made, surface noise is almost impossible to hear.

If I remember, you have a baby child @Skalap? This record is perfect for babies. :)

The art print is also outstanding : made by Gabríela Friðriksdóttir, Björk's fan must know her.

And about the Wax Tailor, well... this is Wax Tailor. (y) I love the poster.

I thought The Waxidermist would have been much more difficult to find. Good Job.

I do and almost bought the CD last year at Independant Label Market in Paris. Microcultures were selling some stuff (I used to subscribe to their club) and had Lullabies From Under The Lake for sale. By the way, if you are in contact with Microcultures, I wouldn't mind a vinyl release of Mousa first album. It's a fantastic album. Searching for Mousa's Bandcamp page, I just discovered that he released a mini album last December <3 <3 <3

EDIT: When I say it's a fantastic album, I really mean it. I would even call it an hidden gem as there are probably just a few CD copies out there sold by Microcultures. I am not even sure there is an US release of the album and it's not even on Discogs. I love this album and Microcultures subscription was worth it just for this CD.

I'm glad you ask. We'll see what our firs ROTM will be in the beginning of 2021...
