Welcome - Introduce Yourself Here

I'm impressed that we're already up to 20+ pages.

I'm SFP, real name is Kaycie. I used to be really active but spent most of the last year or two lurking and hanging out in the old cafe. I'm tragically from Ohio, and I'm prone to really bad decisions. I love my shiba and beagle more than life itself. Favorite genres are indie, punk, 70s rock (Lou Reed ILY), and country.

omg @Dark Star Boogie is here :O Hey bro! :D

You guys, this is beautiful.
Truly.
You all are amazing and I’m glad to spend more time with all you music lovers.
This whole situation will go down as a positive progression for this community.
No business ties anymore.

Also I am able to have the username I wanted back in the *old days.*

Hello, my name is Derek and I am also a music addict.
Beyond ecstatic to be here. ❤️

I kind of love that you owned your mistake for the last year though haha!

Now nathan wont be banned for being sassy lol
Without that strict business overlord I dont see why it has to be so uptight around here

Howdy Guys!

Love this new site and the potential it has.
Was more of a viewer in the last forum, but looking to be more involved.

My name is Guillermo Guillen, but I go by as Memo.
I'm a financial analyst for Oracle and I live in San Antonio, TX. My wife is an elementary school teacher so I spin a lot when she's working late.
I love indie music, americana/folk, some country (George Straight, Musgraves, and a fewother people), and trying to get more into Hip Hop/Rap and Jazz. I love color variants and the more limited the better. ;)

Was chaosisbliss back in the old forum, but decided to change it to my normal social media account username. New home, a nu start?

From Dallas originally, started collecting vinyl back in 2007 after I got to TTUniversity. At that time I would collect whatever emo/screamo band I could get my hands and what I would consider my must haves (pink floyd, beatles, and so on). I had built a modest collection of about 100 before I left to live in China for 4 years and my vinyl collection sat in my Uncle's house during those 4 years. Once I got back to the states in 2016, currently Cleveland, the vinyl habit quickly reappeared after my gf of 6 years got me my first real turn table as a gift. I try to explore as many new bands, genres as I can. So, I wouldn't say I have a favorite genre, I just like music that makes me feel something and is pleasing to my ears.

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to get this up after 2 days. Glad to be back among y'all learning about some cool new tunes.

My name is Tyler. Was more of a lurker on the VMP forum with the occasional post. Hope to be more involved on the new and improved forum and accepted by the inner circle! I have a lot more to learn about vinyl and will need all your knowledge imported into my brain. Thank you very much!

It's nice to see you all here! I feel like this transition came at a... well... very transitional time in my life. I'm giving up drinking and trying to focus on some positive goals in life, and as such I am hoping to introduce a more pleasant, positive, kinder, and gentler person to you all on these forums. I found too much motivation to post over at the other place to be driven by frustration and negativity surrounding the business itself in one way or another so I probably came across as a bit of a complainer a lot of the time. I'm grateful that this new home extracts that piece of the equation so we can all just focus on music and other positive things together. I won't promise that a rant will never cross my keyboard, but I am going to try my best to make this a wholly positive experience.

Thank you to everyone who made this place a reality. I'm so pumped to see so many familiar names already. This is really going to be better for all of us!

Everyone take a mental note of this post.
