* Since I already had an original US pressing I don't think of this one as a "top" release, but I'll add it here because it was nice to see them release a variant.


I don't really remember what I missed out on....maybe De La Soul Is Dead is really the only thing I can think of right now - working nights and sleeping during the daytime I miss out of things that go on sale in the later morning/noon-ish.

1.5-year-later update: I snagged Skull Snaps in a TBT drop and got a good deal on Quasimoto from discogs. And while the VMP edition of Flight to Brazil eludes me, I did snag the Rappcats repress a while back.

I would say my 5 favorite VMP pressings are:
1. Erykah Badu - Mama's Gun - some of biggest and baddest low-end on the format I've ever heard
2. Margo Guryan - Take A Picture (mono) - Big Kev cut, it's everything you want out of full band mono
3. Julia Jacklin - Crushing - just an all time fav record of the 2010's
4. McCoy Tyner - Sahara - stunning RKS cut
5. Fiona Apple - When The Pawn... - not an album destined for the format, but come on, how long did we all wait for that release day!?
 
Favorite VMP grabs
Fugees - The Score (this is the album that started it all. I found a copy of this on Discogs and was so impressed with the pressing I looked VMP up and found out they were pressing Demon Days, which leads me to sub to get the next 2....)

Fiona Apple - Tidal (this is one of the best sounding albums in my collection)
Bone Thugs N Harmony - E. 1999 Eternal (recently resubbed just to grab this as a swap)

I know Madlib - Flight to Brazil is some ppl's top missed. I have this but honestly I listen my CD version more b/c it's a continuous mix. Also not sure if ppl are aware, Rappcats reissued it recently? Madlib - Flight to Brazil
