Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here [159/268]

Not an OG, but an early issue. Found for $1 at a yard sale two years ago, and it sounds like it was bought new at the record store yesterday.

I love this album, it was one of my first vinyl experiences. I think I was 12 found when I found my uncle's copy at my grandma's and I saw that cover and HAD to listen to it.

So, I know that I already went through the boxsets, but this just came in and wanted to check for any defects or something. Just finished with this set and I have to say I'm impressed by the quality. It's a good Boxset to have, Im not sure I would have bought it(not really a fan of many compilations/best of)but $23 USD was hard to pass. Don't know if I'll play it much, but it's good good sound considering the source of audio.

The best of the sets are 3 and 4. Love the tie-dye colors. #538 here!

The Benny Goodman Quartet - Together Again (RCA, 1984 reissue)

Dug this out after watching another episode of Ken Burns Jazz. Swing isn't always my thing, but learning the history around Goodman and his group was really interesting. I just spun a Lionel Hampton 7" at the weekend without realising he forms one member of this quartet. Not my usual jam, but digging it tonight (I also just realised that this is one of the 'old school' jazz records I put on the PIF thread ages ago).
