I don’t follow VMP stuff very closely anymore but I’m kind of amazed that this release was as popular as it was. I loved this album way back when, had it cemented into my car changed for a whole summer while I commutes back and forth from my warehouse job. But even among my college friends who considered Nia a classic this one wasn’t all that well regarded. I thought it was one of my pet obsessions, which naively led me to assume it would be there for a swap someday.
