Sunday morning on the couch with a book and some Loser Edition Weyes Blood. I'm glad I ordered it from Sub Pop and not from The-Club-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named (Voldemort Me Please?).

I used to go to the Jackpot off Burnside when I would hit Everyday Music, but now that Crossroads has moved from Hawthorne, I just don't get over to that one as much anymore. And now that the Everyday Music in Beaverton has closed, my Portland record shopping trips have slowed a lot.

Jackpot Records on SE Hawthorne is a good store though, and it's a good place to pop into for a short visit before or after a longer visit to Music Millennium on E Burnside. If you're jonesing for an Everyday Music visit while in that area, there's one on NE Sandy that's pretty close.

This is such a fantastic album.
I need not say anything about the powerhouse “Free For All,” but man what about “Pensativa?”
Beautifully butter smooth.
