On this day in 1975, a weird, round man showed up unannounced at Abbey Road Studios where Pink Floyd were finishing up a track called 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'. After milling around a bit, it was realized this man was Syd Barrett.

Here's a pic of Syd taken during his Abbey Road drop in. Rock and roll is truly stranger than fiction.



And here's my copy of Wish You Were Here I've been dragging around since 1975. Oh, the tales it could tell...
