I have very few Louis Armstrong records (apart from a few collaborations with Ella Fitzgerald), I have recently been reading Ted Gioia's 'The History Of Jazz' which features a chapter or two on Armstrong, so good to listen with the context.

Tina Brooks – True Blue (Blue Note, 1989 Japanese Toshiba Pressing)
Its been a long while since I last played this. I have been hunting for a copy of the Tina Brooks Mosaic box set. I have heard fantastic things about it and really want to delve deep into his recordings (as limited as they are). Struggling to find an affordable copy in the UK, but I will get there eventually I hope!

It’s fine, its a dead oceans press so it’s no audiophile masterpiece, but I've no big complaints!

I have the red and didn’t hear any sibilance. I do think it’s a mediocre pressing though (as Joe suggested - most Strictly stuff is). Was sounding more muddy than anything.
