sooo, confession time - I’ve always enjoyed the Stones but thought of them as a singles band. As in if I grab one or two of their comps then I’ll be all set. With the recent announcement of the half-speed remastered albums I thought I’d jump in and give them a fair shake.

As luck would have it, I ordered the wrong version of Sticky Fimgers on amazon and got a remaster from 2015 instead of the current reissue. And you know what? It sounds fantastic. I’m sure earlier copies sound much better but to me ears, this was $20 well spent.

I will report back when I give Some Girls a spin!

Hot Rocks was mine and I still have a huge soft spot for their 60s singles even if my fav albums are from later in that decade and into the early 70s.

I think 40 Licks that came out around the same time as the Beatles and Elvis #1 comps in the early 2000’s; was a great introduction for me. It caused me to dig into their catalog and discover they have some amazing records too.
