#20 Margo Price "That's How Rumors Get Started"
I've enjoyed Margo Price songs over the years but never got into any of her previous albums. However, the set of songs on "That's How Rumors Get Started" keeps me coming back. Maybe it's Sturgill Simpson's production? The album does veer closer to classic rock than country. But there's still a little of that Lucinda Williams alt-country sound. And the album sounds fantastic, with that polished Fleetwood Mac-style lusciousness. The standouts for me are "Letting Me Down", "Twinkle Twinkle", "Stone Me", "Heartless Mind" and "What Happened To Our Love?".
