Charlie Parker & Miles Davis - Grande Réserve Savoy N°4 (Savoy Records, 1959 First French Pressing)
Tomorrow would have been Charlie Parker's 100th birthday (I'm really surprised there hasn't been a celebratory reissue series to commemorate it) and im going to be listening to some of his classic releases. This early Savoy 10" compiles individual French 78rpm’s from between 1945-1948.

Oh damn, that flew right past me. Some good choices as well. There is a centennial re-issue campaign TBH I've no idea what Charlie Parker records are good & if any of the re-issues are good quality.

I would recommend 'Bird With Diz', 'The Magnificant Charlie Parker' and 'Charlie Parker With Strings'. I have a couple of box sets which I picked up really really cheap that covers his Dial years and Savoy years (which are arguably his best), I would definitely recommend these.I don't know many of his albums. I was thinking of maybe getting the Massey hall one. Weirdly the cheap prices have almost put me off, I've had quite a few issues with records lately, probably just because I've been buying so many in lockdown.
