Booker Little, "Victory and Sorrow" Bethlehem, 1977.
Compelling music, but my first experience buying this label/period and it's definitely that muffled "cloth over the speakers"... also I still need an RCM, music good enough that you really want it to be more.
A blind buy on RSD from ORG. Mia Doi Todd, "Gea" -- the sound is great. I still know nothing about the record but it makes a great first impression.
Edit: this is a really well recorded and very well done record with elements of folk, latin, jazz. It's the record that slips through the cracks because it doesn't easily fit a category. Very much worth a listen and the pressing is great. Really happy.
