What's Spinning

The last of the 2019 Waxwork Subscription finally arrived - between other delays and Covid, this one took way too long.

Featuring tracks from Rami Sharkey And Kevin Dredge, Pilotpriest, and Sub Rosa
This is a soundtrack to No. 4 of Waxworks House of Waxwork comic - subscribers got the comic with a variant cover, too.

I'm not really a comic book guy, so I don't have the first 3.

N&G 500 - my top 50

#7: The Stone Roses

I can't think of an album that starts with a better 1-2-3 burst than this, and also ends so well too. The middle ain't bad either (in fact, maybe my favourite song is the one below). Saw the Roses once in 1995 and it was one of the best gigs I ever saw - a huge display of lightbulbs suddenly came down as they sang the chorus of I Am The Resurrection, and I remember the roadies playing Voodoo Child at the end and even they were better than most groups. This is the sound of my younger teenage years.
